Why GKDL Was Created
Inspired by the infinite compassion of our beloved root teacher, Master Tulku Karma Gyurme Rinpoche, the Gyalton Karying Dharma Light Foundation was established with a profound purpose: to make the precious teachings of the Buddha accessible to everyone in the South Florida area.
We recognized that the rare and almost lost Gyalton Karying lineage — a transmission of wisdom that has flowed uninterrupted from Master to student since the time of the Buddha — was at risk of fading from the world. GKDL was born as a vessel to preserve and transmit this extraordinary heritage.
The study and practice of the precious Dharma unveils our true potential as human beings: to become happy, peaceful, balanced, compassionate, tolerant, healthy, and successful in every dimension of life.

Tulku Karma Gyurme Rinpoche
